Description

Hawaiian Fried Rice is a flavorful dish made with rice, ham, and pineapple.


Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon sesame seed oil
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil divided
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 2 green onions diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 5 cups cold, cooked white rice
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup pineapple pieces

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced red bell pepper and cook until tender.
  3. Add the diced ham and cook until heated through.
  4. Stir in the green onions and garlic, cooking for another minute.
  5. Add the cold rice to the pan and mix well.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and pour them over the rice mixture.
  7. Add soy sauce, sesame seed oil, and hot sauce. Stir to combine.
  8. Add pineapple pieces and mix until heated through.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for best results.
