Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (about 100-110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 to cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon butter (split for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add salt, basil, oregano, rosemary, and garlic to the mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour and parmesan cheese, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  8. Place the loaf on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Melt butter and mix it with olive oil. Brush the mixture on top of the loaf.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let it cool before slicing.
