Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water (about 100-110°F)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
- 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 to 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon butter (split for topping)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add salt, basil, oregano, rosemary, and garlic to the mixture.
- Gradually add flour and parmesan cheese, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Melt butter and mix it with olive oil. Brush the mixture on top of the loaf.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve warm for best flavor.
