Description
Garlic Butter Steak & Cheddar Potato Bake features tender steaks layered with cheesy, buttery potatoes.
Ingredients

- Ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 4 large Russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (about 1/8 inch thick)
- 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded (sharp or extra-sharp)
- 6 tablespoons Butter (real butter)
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Dried thyme (plus extra for seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon Dried rosemary (plus extra for seasoning)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Season the steaks with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove steaks and let them rest.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Pour half of the garlic butter over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Layer the remaining potatoes and pour the rest of the garlic butter on top.
- Place the steaks on top of the potatoes and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Feel free to add other herbs to your preference.
