Ingredients

- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 small diced onion
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated
- 3 cups beef broth (low sodium)
- Salt and pepper as needed
- 1 tsp of Italian seasoning
- 3 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley (optional) – 2 tablespoons, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in milk, cheddar, and Parmesan until melted.
- Serve beef mixture over rice and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use low sodium broth for better control of salt content.
- Feel free to add more vegetables if desired.
