Ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated
  • 3 cups beef broth (low sodium)
  • Salt and pepper as needed
  • 1 tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional) – 2 tablespoons, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in milk, cheddar, and Parmesan until melted.
  8. Serve beef mixture over rice and garnish with parsley if desired.
