Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich. They combine the flavors of garlic bread with a hearty sloppy joe filling.

- 1 loaf Italian bread
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ cup yellow onion, chopped
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- ¾ cup ketchup
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
- Parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix softened butter with garlic salt. Spread on the cut sides of the Italian bread.
- Place bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven until golden.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned.
- Add garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, kosher salt, black pepper, and water. Stir to combine.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bread.
- Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
