  • 2 (10.5-ounce) cans beef consommé
  • 2 (10.5-ounce) cans French onion soup
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
  • ¾ cup butter, cut into slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Drain excess fat and add garlic salt.
  4. In a large bowl, combine beef, beef consommé, French onion soup, water, and rice.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  6. Dot the top with butter slices.
  7. Cover and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
