Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large apple, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar and milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, espresso, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
  6. Add a few slices of apple on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly, then glaze with powdered sugar and milk if desired.
