- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season beef chuck roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Sear the roast in the skillet until browned on all sides.
- Transfer the roast to the crockpot.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Remove the roast and shred the meat.
- Serve shredded beef on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced onions or bell peppers to the crockpot.
- Use the cooking liquid as a dipping sauce.
