Description
A delicious and easy-to-make chicken cheesesteak recipe with tender chicken, melted provolone, and sautéed peppers and onions.
Ingredients

- 1 lb. or 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Your favorite all-purpose seasoning or salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
- 2 tbsp. olive or grapeseed oil
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced or diced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced or diced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced or diced
- 8 provolone slices
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 recipe garlic aioli or mayo
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with your preferred seasoning.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the chicken until fully done.
- Remove chicken, slice thinly, and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté bell peppers and onions until soft.
- Add sliced chicken back to the pan and mix well.
- Top with provolone slices and let melt.
- Toast the hoagie rolls lightly.
- Spread garlic aioli or mayo on the rolls.
- Fill the rolls with the chicken, cheese, and vegetable mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Use any type of cheese you prefer.
- For extra flavor, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
