Description

A delightful blend of cinnamon and apples in a soft, sweet bread.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar
  • Optional glaze: 1–2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. For the optional glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread.
