A rich and indulgent chocolate caramel dump cake topped with chocolate ganache.
Ingredients

- 1 box chocolate cake mix (approx. 15.25 oz)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Optional: Chocolate shavings
- Optional: Chopped nuts or toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, milk, melted butter, baking powder, and sour cream until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the ganache by heating heavy cream in a saucepan until simmering.
- Remove from heat and add chocolate chunks, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Once the cake is baked, pour the ganache over the top.
- Top with chocolate shavings or nuts if desired.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- This cake pairs well with vanilla ice cream.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
