- 1 cup buttermilk

- 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 4 brioche burger buns
- 8 dill pickle slices
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 small tomato (sliced, optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, cayenne, and black pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and dredge in the flour mixture. Shake off excess.
- Fry chicken in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, hot sauce, lemon juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and honey (if using).
- Assemble the sandwich with fried chicken, sauce, pickles, lettuce, and optional tomato on brioche buns.
