Description

Delicious Chicken Caesar Sandwiches with crispy chicken cutlets and creamy Caesar dressing.


Ingredients

  • For the chicken cutlets:
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 egg whisked with a splash of milk
  • ¼ teaspoon EACH garlic powder, salt, pepper
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Panko
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • For the garlic butter:
  • 4 Tablespoons salted butter, slightly melted
  • 2 Tablespoons mayo
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 Tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup finely grated Parmesan
  • For the Caesar dressing:
  • ½ cup mayo
  • ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • To assemble:
  • 4 hoagies or baguette
  • 34 cups romaine lettuce, chopped or shredded

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken cutlets by seasoning the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip the chicken in the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs and Panko.
  3. Fry the chicken in vegetable oil until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a bowl, mix melted butter, mayo, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan for the garlic butter.
  5. In another bowl, combine mayo, sour cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, anchovy paste, Worcestershire sauce, grated garlic, salt, and pepper for the Caesar dressing.
  6. Spread garlic butter on the hoagies or baguette.
  7. Place the fried chicken cutlets on the bread.
  8. Add chopped romaine lettuce and drizzle with Caesar dressing.
  9. Close the sandwich and serve immediately.
