A hearty and flavorful casserole combining chicken, bacon, ranch seasoning, and tater tots.

- 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) of condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 cups of shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend (approximately 8 ounces)
- 1 package (1 ounce) of ranch dressing and seasoning mix
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 3 cups of shredded cooked chicken
- 1 bag (32 ounces) of frozen Ore-Ida™ Tater Tots™
- 1/2 cup of chopped cooked bacon
- 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of thinly sliced green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
- In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, cheese, ranch seasoning, and black pepper.
- Add cooked onion, shredded chicken, and bacon to the bowl. Stir to combine.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped tomatoes and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Use pre-cooked chicken for convenience.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes after baking.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
