- 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink.
- Add broccoli and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the chicken and broccoli. Stir to coat.
- Gradually add milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly.
- Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to combine.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use whole milk for a creamier sauce.
- You can substitute broccoli with other vegetables like cauliflower.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
