Cheese Steak Chimichangas

Description

A delicious twist on traditional chimichangas featuring cheese and steak.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb flank steak, sliced into thin slices about ½ inch long
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon Montreal Steak Seasoning, or to taste
  • 8 slices American white cheese
  • ½ cup pepper jack cheese, grated (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 6 raw or cooked tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Salsa, sour cream, and cilantro for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add flank steak and season with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Cook until browned.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in American white cheese and pepper jack cheese.
  4. Place a portion of the steak and cheese mixture onto each tortilla.
  5. Roll up the tortilla tightly to form a chimichanga.
  6. Brush the chimichangas with melted butter.
  7. Fry the chimichangas in a skillet until golden brown.
  8. Serve with salsa, sour cream, and cilantro.
