Description

Ingredients

  • Mustard (for binding)
  • Pepper-forward brisket rub
  • Hickory wood pellets (for smoking)
  • Sourdough bread
  • Colby jack cheese
  • Provolone cheese
  • Fried crispy onions
  • Unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Coat the brisket with mustard and the brisket rub.
  2. Smoke the brisket using hickory wood pellets until fully cooked.
  3. Let the brisket rest before slicing it thinly.
  4. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  5. Layer brisket, cheeses, and fried onions on the unbuttered side of the bread.
  6. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
  7. Grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese melts.
