A hearty baked beans and ground beef casserole with a sweet and tangy flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced (optional)
- 1 cup ketchup
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 30 oz can pork and beans (undrained)
- 1 tbsp salted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the diced green bell pepper, yellow onion, and jalapeño. Cook until softened.
- Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard.
- Add the pork and beans to the mixture and combine well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and dot the top with salted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
- Serve with cornbread for a complete meal.
