- 1 dough for a single-crust pie
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 medium baking apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping or caramel apple dip
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pie dough and press into a 12-inch pizza pan.
- Mix sugar, 3 tbsp flour, and 1 tsp cinnamon in a bowl. Toss with apple slices.
- Spread apple mixture over the dough.
- Combine 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, oats, and 1 tsp cinnamon in another bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping over apples.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until crust is golden and apples are tender.
- Drizzle with caramel topping before serving.
Notes
- Use firm baking apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
